VEHICLE RENTAL AGREEMENT

1. General Provisions

This Vehicle Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the relationship between Rentus Corp. (“Lessor”) and any individual or legal entity renting a vehicle (“Renter”).

By completing an online booking and payment, the Renter fully and unconditionally agrees to this Agreement and the Rental Policies published on the official Rentus website.

2. Definitions
  • Vehicle – the automobile provided to the Renter under this Agreement.
  • Rental Period – the period for which the vehicle is rented.
  • Daily Mileage Limit – 150 miles per day.
  • Excess Mileage Fee – $0.50 per mile over the daily limit.
  • Full to Full – the vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when picked up.
  • Rental Policies – the terms and conditions published on Rentus’s official website, including minimum rental periods, booking procedures, return rules, and applicable fees.

3. Rental Term and Booking Conditions

The minimum rental period and booking/return procedures are determined according to the Rental Policies published on the official Rentus website, which are an integral part of this Agreement.

The Renter acknowledges and agrees that these Policies may be updated from time to time and shall apply to all reservations.

4. Renter’s Responsibilities

The Renter agrees to:

  • use the vehicle in accordance with U.S. law;
  • not allow third parties to operate the vehicle without the Lessor’s written consent;
  • not leave the United States with the vehicle;
  • return the vehicle on time and to the agreed location;
  • keep the vehicle’s interior and exterior clean and in good condition.

The Renter is fully financially responsible for any damage occurring to the vehicle during the rental period, including damage caused by third parties, weather, vandalism, or any other factors.

5. Prohibited Uses

The Renter is strictly prohibited from:

  • driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • participating in races, drifting, or unauthorized events;
  • transporting hazardous or illegal materials;
  • leaving the vehicle unlocked or with keys inside;
  • making any modifications to the vehicle without written approval.

6. Payments and Deposits
  • The rental price is calculated on a per-day basis.
  • A security deposit may be required at the time of booking, refundable upon inspection of the vehicle if no violations are found.
  • Additional charges (e.g., penalties, damages, excess mileage, fuel) will be deducted from the deposit or charged to the Renter’s card.

7. Penalties and Additional Charges
  • Smoking inside the vehicle — $300
  • Returning a dirty vehicle — $150
  • Excess mileage — $0.50 per mile
  • Returning with less fuel — cost of fuel + $25 service fee
  • Return delay of more than 30 minutes — full additional daily rate

8. Insurance and Liability
  • The Renter is fully responsible for the vehicle and any damage during the rental period unless covered by additional insurance options, if available.
  • In the event of an accident, the Renter must immediately notify the police and Rentus Corp.
  • The Renter must provide all documentation required to process insurance or damage claims.

9. Traffic Violations and Tolls
  • The Renter is responsible for all traffic violations, parking tickets, tolls, and other road-related charges incurred during the rental period.
  • If such charges are received by the Lessor after the rental period, the amount plus an administrative fee will be charged to the Renter.

10. Smoking Policy

Smoking any substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
A violation will result in a $300 fine, and additional cleaning fees may apply.

11. GPS and Telematics Monitoring

Rentus Corp. vehicles may be equipped with GPS trackers and telematics systems for security and compliance purposes.
The Renter acknowledges and agrees to such monitoring during the rental period.

12. Vehicle Return
  • The vehicle must be returned on time and to the agreed location.
  • The vehicle will be inspected upon return for cleanliness and damage.
  • Failure to comply with return conditions may result in partial or full deposit forfeiture.

13. Termination of Agreement

Rentus Corp. reserves the right to unilaterally terminate this Agreement in the event of:

  • violation of vehicle use terms;
  • failure to pay rental fees or additional charges;
  • providing false or misleading information during booking.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of Florida.
All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida, at the Lessor’s registered location.

15. Electronic Consent

Online booking and payment for the rental constitute the Renter’s full agreement to this Rental Agreement and the Rental Policies.

No additional signatures or checkboxes are required.
Electronic booking and payment are legally equivalent to the Renter’s written consent.
